In addition to the on-site retail, parks, trails and Wildlife Sanctuary, the new Platte Valley Medical Center, a 100 bed regional hospital is located in the heart of the community just off Prairie Center Parkway. This recently opened, full-service medical facility currently includes three, three-story buildings on its campus. These include a 100-bed patient tower with 24-hour Emergency Services, a diagnostics and treatment (D&T) building, and a 58,319 square foot medical office for physician offices and specialty services. At its current size, there are over 500 employees working at the new hospital, with 250 physicians on staff (70 primary care physicians and an additional 180 specialists). This campus has been designed to allow for future growth and planners project it will have an enormous positive impact on the region’s future economic growth.
